Celebrating the Moog Synthesizer

At 7pm, the Museum of Making Music presents a multi-media perfomance combining live music, discussion, and video, by renowned electronic music pioneers, composers, and synthesists Dr. Herb Deutsch (Hofstra Universty) and Dr. John Eaton (University of Chicago).  The program starts with music and conversation by Dr. Deutsch, whose collaboration wtih Dr. Moog in 1964 launched the development of the Moog snythesizer.  The evening continues with a video presentation by Dr. Eaton, MacArthur Fellow and demonstration on the Eaton-Moog Multi-touch Sensitive (MTS) keyboard, whish is abel to detect the three- dimensional position of the permoer's finger; the only working unit in the world.  Not to e missed!
