The City of Vista is excited to host our very first Cyclovia event in historic downtown Vista. This family-friendly event offers a unique way to explore downtown Vista via bike, foot, or other forms of self-powered transportation—completely free of cars! Additionally, the event celebrates Clean Air Day in Vista and provides education on sustainability across the city.
What is a Cyclovia?
Cyclovia means “Cycleway” in Spanish and involves temporarily closing certain streets to automobiles, allowing cyclists and pedestrians full access to the roadways. These events are hosted worldwide, including locally in Encinitas, San Diego, Pacific Beach, and Chula Vista.
What to Expect at Cyclovia Vista
Cyclovia Vista will feature a variety of activities, including a free bike safety class at the AVO Playhouse, a bike rodeo organized by the San Diego County Bike Coalition, a bike valet, a scavenger hunt supporting local businesses, sustainability-focused educational vendors, and much more.
What is California Clean Air Day?
California Clean Air Day is based on the idea that shared experiences inspire people to take action to improve community health. For more information or to take the Clean Air Day Pledge, visit: https://www.cleanairday.org/.
