Getty Villa
As J. Paul Getty's oil empire grew, so did his art collection. Being captivated by Roman architecture, he built and modeled his Malibu villa after the Villa dei Papiri in Italy to house is famous antiquities collection. Unfortunately, he passed away before it was completed in the 70's. Lunch will be on your own at the Malibu Country Mart - a fun, yet trendy, outdoor shopping and dining center off Pacific Coast Highway. J. Paul Getty was a fascinating man with amazing vision.
