Law Enforcement Torch Run, Polar Plunge

This event is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, schools, and businesses to support local Special Olympics athletes by running or crawling into the sparkling, frigid waters of the Pacific Ocean. Proceeds support year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in Special Olympics San Diego.

The Oceanside and Carlsbad Police Department's have long been fundraising partners with Special Olympics.

The goal is to raise $20,000 for Special Olympics San Diego County athletes.

If you are interested in taking the plunge we ask all participants to raise $50.00 minimum, but of course encourage you to raise more. All participants receive a Polar Plunge shirt and two free tickets to the Sea Life Aquarium at LEGOLAND, as well as different incentive items depending on how much money you raise.
