MiraCosta Horticulture Club Meeting

MiraCosta Horticulture Club Meeting The MiraCosta Horticulture Club will meet March 5th at 12:30PM, at MiraCosta College, One Barnard Dr., Oceanside, Student Center Bldg. 3400, Aztlan Rooms A & B 2nd Floor. The workshop will be by Lexi Petelski with General Pumice Products. She will enlighten us about why pumice is the best soil amendment available. Our main speaker is Diane Hazard, Education Program Manager, Solana Center for Environmental Innovation will provide a Power Point presentation on traditional composting titled "Let's talk Dirt! Compost and Help Save the World!" She has a degree in Biology, is a certified Master Composter and achieved a Sustainable Business Practice certification. After the main speaker is done there will be a plant raffle. The meetings generally finish around 3PM. The meeting is open to the public. For more information call 760 721 3281.
