Some of you had showed interest in a local meet up to discuss rent control legislation and to share ideas and resources about best practices for staying in the housing provider business in Vista and North County, San Diego. After years of the CA legislature and municipalities continuing to march forward with landlord hostile legislation that does NOTHING to stabilize rents, + the CA insurance crisis that is bearing down on property owners and causing skyrocketing policy renewals and cancellations, + the extraordinary cost of doing business in CA...it seems like the right time to meet up and brainstorm ideas for how the majority of rental housing providers (70% of rental housing in CA is provided by small mom and pop owners) can weather the storm. The meet up location will be at a Vista restaurant to support a local small business. Feel free to share this post with other local small housing providers.
