Shelter to hold open house

Operation HOPE, Vista's emergency winter shelter for single women and families, will hold an open house in Vista. Meet the shelter's new assistant director, Monica Peddicord, and tour the facility. There will also be opportunities to learn about volunteer possiblities. Special guests will include members of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 in honor of Veterans Day weekend. Squadron members will welcome guests and answer questions about their service. Members of the shelter's board of directors adn city officials also will attend.
