Assistant General Manager

Who We Are:

As North County San Diego's premier cat cafe, our business serves as both a craft coffee shop and a foster home for adoptable cats. Each of these cats has been rescued from resource challenged shelters and is in need of a second chance at a loving forever home. We provide space for our community to gather and connect while enjoying hand-crafted beverages and bites, plus friendly pets and snuggles from our adoptable kitties.

Summary:

You will be responsible for leading the restaurant's daily operations, managing the team, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. A focus on customer service and hospitality is critical as well.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily cafe operations, including cat care, customer service, and sales
• Manage and supervise a team of cat cafe staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Ensure exceptional customer experiences through excellent service, cleanliness, and cat care
• Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies, promotions, and events
• Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Requirements:

• 2+ years of management experience in a customer-facing environment
• Experience working with animals, preferably in a cat cafe or animal shelter setting
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in marketing, event planning, or animal welfare
• Knowledge of cat behavior, health, and welfare
• Certification in animal care or customer service
